CME Program on 30th Jan 2021 for Health Care professionals

An Educational program for trainee Haematologists was organised at Haemophilia Treatment Center Rawalpindi in collaboration with Dept. of Haematology Holy Family & Benazir Bhutto Hospitals .The consultants & young doctors from these institutions & from Foundation University Islamabad actively participated in the program

Dr Aiman Saulat gave a presentation on the screening & diagnostic tests used in the diagnosis of inherited bleeding disorders.

Dr Nadeem Ikram went through important points in dealing with a patient with inherited bleeding disorders right from history, exammination,investigations,diagnosis & management.

Prof. Mobina Dodhy gave elaborate details on Haemophilia strating from pathophysiology of bleeding,genetics,mutations ,clinicl presentation ,diagnostic tests & management of patients.

Dr Raana Zeeshan shared the Haemophilia Center’s experience with low dose prophylaxis which has a positive impact in reducing joint bleeds without an increase in inhibitors.

Prof. Lubna Zafar discussed the issues faced by Women with inherited bleeding disorders and the
strategies to over come these challanges.

Prof. Tahira Zafar presented the clinical scenario’s of patients with severe vWD, haemophilia,Glanzmann’s Thrombesthenia & F XIII deficiency.

This was followed by an interactive Q&A session
