Dental Screening Camp at School of Dentistry Isb (SOD)

                                                       Description of the Activity:

Purpose of the activity.

• Awareness & Education about Dental Health in Bleeding Disorders to Doctors, Medical staff, patients & parents at the SOD.
• The purpose of the activity was to facilitate hemophilic patients to get dental treatment under one roof with Specialist doctors.
• Capacity Building of Doctors, medical staff, patients & parents.

Content/program; 

HTC Staff informed the patients two week before the event. Made a list of patients with different factor deficiencies and told them to reach the SOD at 9:00 am. On the 8th of June. HTC Staff reached SOD and made arrangements like attendance sheets, standee for banners and SOD slips for patients. Patients arrived at SOD with their parents and siblings around 9’o clock. Doctors gave the briefing on the importance of dental health and guided them on how to protect the teeth, also doctors gave appointments to patients according to their issues such as (Extractions, scaling, Root canals), etc. Senior representatives of the Hemophilia Society and SOD were present there.

Impact:

The dental camp successfully provided dental Guidance to 30 patients, The camp also raised awareness about the importance of oral health and hygiene.
